Hytham Ashuraey, Board Chair

Hytham grew up in Yemen, a country with far less credible and established judicial institutions than those in the United States. He has seen, first hand, how easily unchecked authority can victimize people indiscriminately. Alfred Baltazar Baca, Board Member

“Balt” now retired, served as Senior Trial Attorney for the United States Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, Immigrant and Employee Rights Section. While at the DOJ, he drafted the first Articles of Incorporation for the organization that became Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia.
