Jeff Gould

Board Member

Jeff is a Senior Counsel at the boutique law firm, Oppenheim + Zebrak, LLP, where he handles a wide variety of commercial litigation and counseling matters, including copyright, trademark, counterfeiting, corporate governance and other intellectual property and contractual disputes. Prior to joining Oppenheim + Zebrak, Jeff was a Litigation Partner at Kirkland & Ellis. From 2014–2016, Jeff was named a “Rising Star” in Business Litigation by Super Lawyers magazine.

Jeff is dedicated to pro bono work and from 2008-2015 received the Kirkland & Ellis Pro Bono Service Award. For several years, he has provided counsel to the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance, a wilderness preservation organization. He has also successfully represented an Ethiopian refuge through a contested asylum process, and political demonstrators on constitutional claims against police and government actors arising from unlawful arrests during a peaceful march.

Before joining Kirkland, Jeff served as a law clerk to Judge Paul Barbadoro of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from Williams College and his J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School, where he served as an Executive Editor of the Boston College Law Review. He is a member of the D.C. and Massachusetts bars.

Jeff is an avid cyclist and lover of the outdoors. He is a longtime supporter of environmental justice and criminal justice reform. He lives in the Washington, D.C. area with his wife and two children.
