Clare Barloon
Office Manager/Paralegal
Clare graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame, where she double majored in Art History and Global Affairs with a Peace Studies concentration, and minored in French. She authored an honors interdisciplinary thesis on contemporary art, peace studies, and ecological resilience. While at Notre Dame, she worked as a research assistant in the Kroc School of International Peace Studies, researching and editing scholarship on civil conflict and peace agreements. She also contributed to two projects on democracy, human rights, and the arts in Europe, first as a researcher and then as a project lead and research advisor, through the Nanovic Institute for European Studies.
Outside of academia, Clare worked as a Backstage Manager for the University’s Shakespeare troupe, as Chief of Staff for her dorm community, and as a Strategy Tutor for student athletes (Go Irish!)
In her free time, Clare enjoys reading, writing, and taking advantage of the many trails in and around DC. She’s passionate about reforming our justice system, promoting literacy and the arts, and her cat, Titus.
