Hytham Ashuraey
Board Member
Hytham grew up in Yemen, a country with far less credible and established judicial institutions than those in the United States. He has seen, first hand, how easily unchecked authority can victimize people indiscriminately.
During his career, he has worked at organizations aimed at national development and improved governance that often flounder because of the lack of a strong and independent court structure. He currently occupies a managerial position within Harvard University’s Campus Services.
He has a passion for ending wealth-based inequality and believes Equal Justice Under Law can be a model in its organizational practices as a model employer and as a tireless, creative advocate for the disenfranchised in our society.
