Balt’s Ride for Equal Justice

One of our board members, Alfred Baltazar “Balt” Baca, is currently training for a cross-country bike ride to raise money for Equal Justice Under Law. He’s been in training for a couple of months to ride his bike from San Diego to St. Augustine (about 2900 miles) over 52 days with Bubba’s Pampered Peddlers. The ride will start on March 2nd.

As a member of our board, Balt has seen just how unequal our justice system can be for the poor, and he wants to help change that. “I hope I can get people thinking about leveling the scales of justice toward a balanced sense of equality,” says Balt.

So, please support Balt and his bike, Baltitude, on Balt’s Ride for Equal Justice. We will share updates on this blog and on Facebook about Balt and his bike, Baltitude, on their incredible cross-country journey.

Balt hopes to raise $5 per mile — for a total of $15,000 to help end wealth-based inequality in our justice system.

If you want to Donate to Balt’s Ride for Equal Justice, in the “Tribute Type” tab at the bottom of the donation page, please make it out In Honor of Balt.

More to come… Go Balt and Baltitude!
